Class 1 Trunker/Shunter Driver – Night Shift
The Role
We are currently recruiting Class 1 Trunker/Shunter Drivers for a night-shift position based in Nottingham.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver looking for regular night work with a well-established national logistics operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 1 vehicle from the Nottingham depot to either Wakefield or Bradford.
- Collect and transport loaded vehicles between depots.
- Return to the Nottingham depot following the trunking run.
- Carry out shunting duties within the depot when required.
- Complete vehicle safety checks and relevant paperwork.
- Follow all company, site and road safety procedures.
- Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) licence.
- Previous Class 1 driving experience.
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence.
- Experience or willingness to carry out shunting duties.
- Comfortable working night shifts.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road safety regulations.
