HGV Class 2 Skip Driver – £17 per hour
We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver in Welham Green, AL9 for a long-term temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Skip Driver / Class 2 Driver looking for consistent Monday to Friday work, competitive pay, and overtime opportunities.
Pay & Benefits
- £17.00 per hour
- £25.50 per hour overtime (1.5x rate)
- Monday to Friday
- 06:00 – 15:00
- Long-term ongoing work
- Temp-to-perm opportunity

The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Skip Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering and collecting skips from customer sites
- Transporting waste to disposal facilities
- Completing vehicle checks and paperwork
- Reporting any vehicle defects
- Providing excellent customer service
- Following all health & safety and environmental procedures
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous skip driving experience essential
- Good knowledge of driver hours and road safety
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Location
Welham Green, AL9 – suitable for candidates in Hatfield, Potters Bar, St Albans, Barnet, Hertfordshire, and surrounding areas.
