Job description
This is a Driver Loader role and as a HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver (Refuse Driver), you will be responsible for operating a dustcart vehicle while leading a team of loaders on scheduled waste collection routes across residential streets. This is a hands-on Class 2 driving role combining driving, teamwork, and route management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving a Class 2 dustcart (refuse vehicle) on assigned routes
- Supervising and coordinating a team of loaders
- Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring all health & safety and compliance procedures are followed
- Assisting with bin collections and loading when required
- Completing all paperwork and route documentation accurately
- Delivering reliable and efficient waste collection services
Pay & Benefits:
- £17.50 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Weekly pay (reliable and consistent)
- Minimum 8 hours paid per day
- Monday to Friday shifts

Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 04:00 – 14:00 (day shifts)

Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C)
- CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- Safety boots required
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, reliable, and committed HGV driver attitude
