Job description
As an HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver (Refuse Driver), you will be responsible for operating a dustcart vehicle on planned residential and commercial waste collection routes across Dunstable and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on driving role where you will lead a team of loaders while ensuring collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving a Class 2 dustcart (refuse vehicle) on assigned routes
- Supervising and working alongside a team of loaders
- Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and waste regulations
- Assisting with bin collections when required
- Completing all route paperwork and documentation
- Providing a reliable and professional waste collection service
Pay & Benefits:

Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C)
- CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous dustcart / refuse experience preferred
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- Good understanding of UK road and safety regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
