Job description
As a Shovel Loader Driver / Shovel Operator, you will be working on a busy waste management and landfill site, responsible for loading Class 1 trailers and moving waste materials safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on plant operator role requiring strong awareness of health & safety, site operations, and material handling.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating a shovel loader (CPCS / NPORS) on-site
- Loading Class 1 trailers with waste materials
- Moving and organising waste across landfill areas
- Supporting Class 2 dustcart unloading operations
- Ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles
- Following all health & safety and site procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Pay & Benefits:
- £14.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Weekly pay available

Shift Pattern:
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- 06:00 – 18:00 (12-hour shifts)

Requirements:
- Valid NPORS or CPCS Shovel Loader Licence (essential)
- Previous experience as a Shovel Driver / Plant Operator
- Ability to load and unload vehicles safely
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills
- Comfortable handling heavy materials in a site environment
- Safety boots required
- Reliable, punctual, and strong team player
- Good communication and awareness of site safety
