We are currently recruiting for Shovel Loader Drivers / Plant Operators in Darwen for a full-time, ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity with a leading, multi-million-pound waste management company.

Job Description (Shovel Loader Driver / Plant Operator)
- Operating a loading shovel / plant machinery on a busy waste management site
- Loading Class 1 (C+E) trailers efficiently and safely
- Moving and organising waste materials across landfill and yard areas
- Supporting incoming Class 2 dustcart vehicles by redistributing loads
- Ensuring site operations run smoothly and safely
- Carrying out daily machine checks and safety procedures
What’s on Offer:
- £14.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Full-time hours – 4 on 4 off shift pattern 06:00 – 18:00 shifts or Monday to Friday07.00-17.30

Requirements:
- Valid NPORS or CPCS Shovel Licence (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience as a Shovel Driver / Plant Operator / Loading Shovel Operator
- Ability to load/unload HGV Class 1 (C+E) trailers and Class 2 vehicles
- Good understanding of site safety and waste management operations
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks when required
- PPE including safety boots
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
