Job description
As a Refuse Loader / Waste Operative, you will be working as part of a busy waste collection team, supporting the collection of household refuse and garden waste across residential areas.
This is a physically demanding outdoor role, ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, teamwork, and active day shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting refuse, recycling, and garden waste materials
- Loading waste onto collection vehicles safely and efficiently
- Supporting drivers as a drivers mate / loader
- Following all health & safety procedures
- Providing excellent customer service to residents
- Assisting with general street and waste collection duties
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Pay & Benefits:
- £15.24 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Weekly pay
- Temp-to-perm opportunity

Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 05:30 – 13:30 approx.
- Early starts with afternoon finishes
- Approximately 7-hour shifts
Requirements:
- Must have safety boots
- Good English and communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Self-motivated with good organisational skills
- Previous waste, labouring, or outdoor work experience beneficial
