Class 1 (CE) Shunter – £19.00 per hour – Weekly Pay Location: Bedford
Hours: 4 on 4 off nights
Pay: £19.00 per hour (weekly pay)
We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Night Shunter to join our logistics team at our Bedford depot. This is a permanent, Temp to Perm role working within a busy transport yard supporting overnight operations.
Your main duties will include:
- Move and position trailers safely within the yard using a Class 1 vehicle
- Carry out vehicle checks in line with company and DVSA standards
- Liaise with on site teams to ensure smooth trailer flow
- Complete all required paperwork and use digital yard management systems
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous shunting experience (minimum 6 months preferred)
- Good communication and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and on-time performance
